Wireless Printing Support & Instructions

Framingham State College is pleased to offer students the ability to print to any of the network laser printers from their laptops. Follow these easy steps to configure your laptop to print wirelessly.

Choose the software for your Operating System.
You MUST be logged in as an Administrator to install this software.
If you are running Vista, please right-click and chose "Save".
If you have the College Recommended Laptop Pharos is already installed!

Windows XP

After installing the software you will need to reboot your machine so please save all open files and documents before beginning the install.

Now that the software is installed, you will have a new default printer named "STULAB". If you had a printer installed previously, it will still be there but will no longer be the default printer. To change this, click on Start-->Printers and right click on the printer and choose "Set as Default Printer".

Choose File-->Print and hit OK to send your job to the printer. You will be prompted for your Network Account

Next you will be prompted for a name for your print job. This step is optional but will help you identify your job if you have multiple items in the queue.

Your job has now been sent to the main Pharos Queue. It can be printed from ANY one of the many Pharos Release Stations located around campus. Chose a release station from the map below and log-in with your student account. You will see your print jobs listed which you can click on and print.
